Milani Baked Blushes: Luminoso & Dolce Pink | Review + Swatch

Luminoso is probably my favorite blush ever right now. It's a beautiful peachy color that gives an amazing glow. It's similar to Benefit Coralista in that sense, minus the insanely strong perfume scent that Benefit products have. Anyway, it's not chalky, it's not drying, and only $6.99, awesome!

Dolce Pink is a gorgeous light pink with gold veining. It's much more shimmery than Luminoso because it has a bit of gold glitter in it but, I promise it's not an overwhelming amount though.

Formula: Good color payoff. Not chalky or drying. Gives a beautiful glow to the skin.

Packaging: All Milani Baked blushes have a little mirror under the blush and one of those little brushes nobody ever uses haha

Price: $6.99

Need opinions!

I really need a better camera for my youtube videos. No matter what settings I use on iMovie, it still looks terrible. I know nothing about good cameras though so I need some suggestions!

Benefit High Beam Dupe

Highlighters are key for that fresh, glowy look we all know and love. The beauty cult favorite seems to be Benefit High Beam which retails for a little under $30 for the full size bottle which is only 0.45oz I might add. I purchased a mini trio set from Macy's a few weeks ago which included Benefit High Beam, Benetint, and Posie Tint, I got all three for $15, STEAL!

So I finally got to see what all the hype was about and I was a little dissapointed because I find that the dupe I have for this product is a bit better and only $1! I have been using the e.l.f. Shimmering Facial Whip in Lilac Petal for while and I really love it. But I thought, hey this Benefit High Beam is $30 and everyone raves about it, it must be soooo much better! No.

Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike High Beam, but why pay $30 for something that you can get for $1?

Here is the comparison between the two products under natural light so you can see the highlight effect.

This one is taken under bathroom lighting, which shows the color comparison a little better.

The only major difference between the two is the application method. High Beam is a nail polish style brush which is a pain to me. The Facial Whip is a squeeze tube style applicator. Also, the formulas are a tad different as well, High Beam is extremely liquidy and the Facial Whip is almost like a cream blush consistency which I find a lot easier to work with.

So overall, I definitely like the e.l.f. Facial Whip better. Plus, you can't beat the price!! It is definitely a dupe for Benefit High Beam if you're looking for a less expensive alternative : )

Mac Sheertone Blush: Dollymix | Review + Swatch

MAC Blush in Dollymix! Been drooling over this blush for awhile and finally picked it up. So glad I did, its such a beautiful pink color with a bit of shimmer. Perfect for Spring! I featured it in my February Favorites post because it really has become a staple blush for me. Almost as fabulous as my Milani Luminoso blush buuuuuut not quite :)

Packaging: Sleek and adorable as always :)

Price: $21. A bit pricey compared to the drugstore brands but I feel like I am never going to run out of this blush! Plus the color is beautiful.

Formula: The great thing about this blush is the 'Sheertone' formulation. You can apply it lightly for a very light, barely flushed look. Or you can build the color for a more intense look, I feel like that's the key to a great blush, getting various looks with the same product.

Lioele Triple the Solution BB Cream | Review + Swatch

Finally! I've been meaning to do a review on this for so long. Time to stop procrastinating and get to it.

I got this 50ml tube from prettyandcute.com for $28.60. I think I found a coupon code of some kind for free shipping. I thought it was a bit pricey for a BB Cream in comparison to the drugstore ones I had tried from Loreal and Garnier that are about $12. I saw several really good reviews on the product, plus I was totally out of my other BB Cream so I thought I would go for it.

This BB Cream is a lot thicker and more difficult to blend into the skin. The other BB Creams I've used are a lot like moisturizers in their consistency. I didn't like the thickness of it at first because it seemed a tad drying and a bit too dense on the skin.

Then one day I decided to mix the BB Cream on my hand with a little bit of moisturizer and, OH MY GOD it was love! It was the perfect consistency! And I know BB Creams are supposed to already be moisturizing already but, it's worth the extra step for this one.

As you can see below, this BB Cream is really pale. There is no color selection with this product, it's a one shade fits all so I need to apply foundation over it. The coverage is awesome for a BB Cream, it's more like an all over concealer but with all the benefits of a BB Cream. I am in love with this stuff! I wear it everyday under foundation. It also eliminated the need for a primer because it really gives my foundation a great base. If you don't want to use a foundation, you can use a powder, still works great. Highly, highly recommend this product, you can check it out here if you're interested :)

February Favorites!

March! Spring is almost here and I couldn't be more excited! That being said, February is officially done and over with so it's time to roll out another favorites post. Enjoy :)

The Bourjois Paris 123 Perfect foundation is a game changer! Seriously, this foundation is HG for me. This foundation is a color correcting foundation, containing yellow, green, and purple pigments which counteract redness, dark circles, and uneven complexion. As I previously mentioned in my post about color correction with concealer, I've been using the Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda concealer palette for my redness in my nose and cheek area. Well, this foundation has eliminated the need for the concealer, it's AMAZING! The foundation is a bit hard to find, it's not readily available in drugstores. I had to order online from asos.com. I got shade number 54 Beige.

I recently purchased MAC Studio Fix powder in NW30 and it is just fantastic. Honestly in combination with the Bourjois foundation, my makeup has never looked so flawless. These items have completely revolutionized my foundation routine and I am so stoked about it!

I apply both the foundation and the powder with the e.l.f. powder brush in the picture, available for $3 at target or http://www.eyeslipsface.com/makeup/brushes/single-brushes/powder_brush. I raved about this brush in a previous post and I will rave about it again! $3 people!! Best makeup brush I've ever used for foundation and powder application.

I found an amazing Milani baked blush. The shade is Luminoso and in my opinion it's far better than Benefit Coralista which I recently purchased and will be doing a review on soon. The Milani blush is the perfect coral color and it's doesn't look powdery at all when applied. (and $6.99 is way better than the $28 I paid for the Coralista blush)

Of course I have my EOS lip balm in Lemon Drop as a favorite, duh ;)

Loving the Lioele Triple the Solution BB Cream once I played around with it a bit and found a better way to apply it. I know I said a while ago that I would do a review on it... working on it promise! Either way, best bb cream I've ever used thus far.

Organix Moroccan Argan Oil is the bomb! My hair becomes a little less fried every time I use it. Not going to say too much about it because I already have a post about it which you can check out here.

And last but not least MAC Sheertone Shimmer Blush in Dollymix, loving it! Beautiful pink amazingness. Review coming soon. I'm really into blushes lately, probably going to be my obsession this spring.

Comment below if you would like to see a review of a certain product, I'm on it! :)
